“I refuse to settle for average, average sucks! You can bet I am going to do everything in my power to level up.”

I was always the tiny kid growing up. I wrestled 75lbs my 7th grade year, and I graduated high school weighing 165lbs soaking wet. I excelled at throwing discus mainly through technique, not power or muscle. I went on to college to throw discus, and the coaches immediately recognized I needed to put on size. I was given a weight lifting regimen and started to take training more serious. The school ended up cutting the track program, but there I was liking the marginal size I had put on in that time frame. So I ended up befriending a bodybuilder from the rec center, and he introduced me to the world of bodybuilding mainly through the magazines. As I paged through the magazines, I noticed there was a greater emphasis on food and dieting than what I was paying attention to in my own life. I started to learn as much as possible and started eating like a bodybuilder should. Even to this day, I feel nutrition is one of the most important pieces (there are many pieces) to the puzzle. Anyways, I started to grow at a remarkable speed! As soon as I started eating how I should, the stars aligned. Within a year or so I put on enough quality size that I felt confident enough to step on my first bodybuilding stage, the 2010 Mr. Slippery Rock University. I ended up taking 3rd in that show, and from that moment on I was hooked.

A few years had passed and I had entered a few more shows, moving up through the NPC. All the while, my passion for this LIFESTYLE grew more and more. I started to find myself helping others get their journey started. I have had many mentors and people I have looked up to over the years, and I wanted to provide the same opportunity to others that had been given to me. In 2015, along with my coach and friend, I started TCMuscle a contest prep team that has grown exponentially. When I am truly passionate about something, I devote a great amount of energy into it to make it flourish. It really makes me smile when I see the excitement on clients’ and competitors’ faces when they excel and reach their goals. I take pride in being personable and easy to work with.
